Our Mission
In a changing world, Switzerland and Poland, as strong business and political partners, should stand together building a better future for the next generations. Both countries have a long democratic tradition (Poland with a painfull break during socialist era), but the historical similarities are immense. In present times the economical growth between the two countries is remarkable indeed. We should put in all effort to continue this sustainable development in economical, political and intercultural aspects.
Below you will find the nomination letter for Mr Markus Blechner as Honorary Consul and his mission in Switzerland given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Mr Radosław Sikorski, and the Letter (Brevet) by Mrs Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, Bundesrat of the Swiss Confederation.
The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Zurich has the following duties given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych):
1. Development of positive public relations and support of economic progres.
2. Support of polish citizens staying in the consular area (cantons AR, AI, GL, SH, SZ, SG, TG, ZG, ZH). Giving them help and to safeguard their rights and interests.
3. To safeguard the rights and interests of the Republic of Poland in the consular area.
4. To promote tourism into the Republic of Poland.
